A Long Overdue Apology!

It's been far too long since I've been blogging, and I sincerely apologize for the very long wait! I never meant to leave so abruptly, and have been meaning to post an explanation for a few months now; honestly, I have no idea where the time has gone!

I'm not sure where to begin. I've been absent from writing this blog and commenting on others simply because I've been very ill. When I started ES, I intended it to be sanctuary away from the troubles of everyday life, a haven where only lovely things live, and I really don't want to change that. The details are boring anyway :)

The encouraging news is that I am feeling much better than I have been, and I hope that I might be able to start posting again soon, even if only once a month or so, and following my favourite blogs again. I have a LOT of catching up to look forward to, LOL! But the truth is that things are rather iffy for me lately, in all aspects of life, and all this change and turmoil means that each day is unpredictable. But so it goes for us all at times, and I know that I'm not the only one having such troubles.

Which is all to say, to long-time readers and visitors, thank you for your continued support of ES! I was absolutely humbled and astonished upon logging into Blogger for the first time in months to see that so many of you have stayed with me, keeping this site on their reading lists, waiting for me to return. I can't even tell you how much that means to me! I seriously considered deleting ES, but every time I went to do so, I remembered the wonderful friendships I've been incredibly lucky to form through this little journal, and all the beautiful inspiration to make lovely things that reading your blogs provides! And I decided to wait, for which I am now so glad :)

To those of you who have sent me such lovely e-mails - thank you! I treasure your kind words, and they've helped to keep me going through the last few months. If I haven't yet replied, it's only because I have - and still am - waiting to be well enough to respond to your message with the thoughtfulness it deserves.

And a special thank you to the wonderfully generous Jeanne Dansby, who kindly sent me a Liebster Blog Award, despite my much longer-than-planned hiatus! Her lovely words about this blog and myself delighted me deeply, and I greatly look forward to formally acknowledging and passing the award on to others ASAP!

So please have a little more patience with me :) I know it's a lot to ask, and likely more than I deserve after leaving the fate of this site hanging for so long, but I am still trying, and hope to be able to come back with a vengeance, as soon as possible!

Thank you again, and hope to see you around soon!!!

Welcome back!

I really enjoyed reading your blog, which you put so much work into, so I was a bit worried when you hadn't posted in a while. But I know life can get in the way sometimes, and I'm happy to hear that you're getting better.

Good luck with everything and best wishes.

Hey there! Glad you're back. Thanks for commenting on the blog. I have some of my floss on cards but it would take ages to get everything put on them. I think I'll just do it as I put ones back or gather for a project. I've used rings before or tackle boxes to keep all my colors sorted.

So sorry to hear you've been unwell Aurelia, I did wonder where you'd gone, but know that sometimes other things in life are far more important than blogging............take your time to get completely well again, your blogging friends are happy to wait.x

Ziggyeor: Thanks very much, and you're very welcome! If it's any help, I usually wind new skeins on cards while I'm watching tv - it goes surprisingly fast, because you just naturally build up speed as you go along, and it can be sort of relaxing, believe it or not ;)

Lily: Thanks so much for your lovely best wishes, and very kind words :)

I know you've been wanting to post an update for a while, and also know how much you've missed the social interaction of the blogging community. I am so very pleased that your health issues have eased off enough to enable you to get back on Blogger!

It is an immense relief that you decided to hang in there and not delete your blog - You've put way too much time and effort into it!

Your health issues are still a concern, so try not to overdo it. As Jeanne Dansby said, take all the time you need.

With Lots of Love and Best Wishes. x
